The Goodwood Revival 2015
Times may change but you can always rely on the annual Goodwood Revival for a fabulous evocation of days gone by and 2015 was no different, with the added blessing of glorious sunshine for most of the 3 day extravaganza. Visitors were once again able to wallow in nostalgia, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the 40's, 50's and 60's. This year we were also treated to the world’s largest ever gathering of Spitfires and Hurricanes, whose spectacular fly pasts were low and loud enough to rattle the bottles in our vintage vending machines!
The Games Room Company has been a regular exhibitor for the last few years but this time we were upgraded from our usual spot inside the track to a much larger site in the Vintage Market. As a result we were able to bring many more pieces to the show whilst providing customers with a generous space in which to browse and even try their hand at the various vintage games and jukeboxes on display. The stand was extremely busy throughout, no doubt due in part to the stunning Rock-Ola jukebox belting out period hits from the front of the stand, and we're delighted to report that business was brisker than ever.
If you didn't make it this year then we'll hope to see you there in 2016, but meanwhile check out this short video in which we've tried to capture the flavour of the festivities. Also included is a brief overview by our CEO Alexander, who was pleased to welcome Rock-Ola CEO Glenn Streeter to the stand during a rare visit to the UK. Asked for his impressions of the Goodwood Revival 2015 Glenn summed it up better than we ever could: "It's a Gas!"
