A vintage souvenir from casinos of old, the Indianhead was built in 1948 by the now-defunct Jennings & Company. The bandit’s most unique feature (the eponymous Indian) lends a historical tilt to an already legendary machine.

This machine has been previously restored. We have undertaken a full service, checked the payouts and gone through the electrics and ensured they are up to current safety standards. It runs on the old 5ps and these will be supplied in generous quantity.

The chrome has very minor pitting in places, this really just serves to enhance the character of the piece with the patina of age.

The “Indian Head” is where it all started for our MD’s Father, Reginald. He used to service these machines for the USAF on their British bases in the 1950’s, where they were located in the Sergeants' and Officers' messes. He said the airmen used to rub the head of the Indian with their thumb for luck before every pull of the handle.

Reginald Waldersmith was far from an avid gambler but he was extremely knowledgeable about the industry. He specialised in ‘one armed bandits’, and they were an essential part of the business that eventually became the Games Room Company. After servicing slot machines and jukeboxes on American airbases after the war, the resultant friendships Reginald made in the US armed forces allowed him to begin shipping them to the UK.
