Stan Lee’s X-Men series started life in comic strip form in 1963 and has gone on to reap millions as a blockbuster movie franchise in recent years. 

The 2012 pinball version does not disappoint, with plenty of playfield toys, a cool soundtrack, knockout artwork and terrific fast-moving gameplay that keeps the action moving. The object is to gather your favourite X-Men so that they can battle and defeat formidable enemies such as Juggernaut, The Brotherhood of Mutants, The Hellfire Club, and Shadow King.

It has a densely populated playfield with a high number of possible shots and different paths through the game and its characters. In particular, the table has won praise from fans for the way that the playfield action syncs with the dot matrix display and the special effects.

This superb example is currently under restoration and will soon be finished.
