The Texan-made Charleston is a highly-sought prize by the most avid of shuffleboard players. Intertwining fantastic game-play with a detailed history, this table is built from maple wood, and is a vintage reproduction of one of the original shuffleboard tables produced in the 1940s. An Art-Deco design includes such nostalgic features as mirror accents, and stainless steel runners down the length of the maple wood legs. The maple playfield is coated in polymer, which keeps the game consistently quick and exciting. This 20 ft model comes equipped with a vintage style electronic score unit.
The Charleston is manufactured by Champion Shuffleboards, in Texas USA. Shuffleboard is a major movement across the pond, and Champion is undoubtedly the best manufacturer, meticulously crafting their tables to give them an inherently modest grace and sophistication in any environment.
We at the Games Room Company have always had a special fondness for the game of Shuffleboard – like us, its history is integral to its excellent reputation. Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, discovered an early affinity for shovelboard (as it was then known) when he served on board the HMS Queen Mary during WWII, He grew especially fond of the game in his later years, and his only regret regarding the game was the ready lack of cruise ships to play it on, living as he did in rural Surrey.
We’ve been selling games since 1962 so we know a thing or two about our products. Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.
