This very special table, celebrating perhaps the greatest band of all time, was released by Stern in November of 2018 and stands as a fabulously entertaining tribute to the Fab Four.
The result of a collaboration between Stern and Ka-Pow Pinball, this one-of-a-kind machine will only have a production run of 1964 units, this being the year that The Beatles dominated the UK charts with no less than 5 hit singles!
The retro-themed playfield features four flippers, eleven drop targets, eight stand-up targets, multiple skill shots, two opto-spinners, a ball-catching magnet and a magnetic spinning record disc in the center of the playfield. Players, friends and family will enjoy full screen animations as well as simulated reel scoring on the game’s high definition video screen.
Complementing the immersive Beatlemania theme and exciting gameplay experience, Stern Pinball’s powerful SPIKE™ electronics hardware system enables high-definition graphics and innovative animations on the high-definition video display. The state-of-the-art electronic system also powers a high-fidelity 3-channel audio system that is three times more powerful than audio systems of previous generations.
Look out for Ed Sullivan’s iconic introduction to The Beatles when they first hit the USA, which is amongst many other live clips featured on the screen, and then of course there’s the unforgettable music. An incredible nine tracks form the table’s soundtrack, including ‘A hard day’s night’, ‘Can’t buy me love’, Taxman’, ‘All my loving’, ‘Help’ and ‘Drive my car’.
The designers of this table deliberately held back on the playfield toys, instead going for an unashamedly simple, retro feel more in keeping with the era, but it’s still a fast and highly entertaining game and one that will thrill Beatles fans everywhere. The ingenious magnetic spinning record in the centre of the playfield is a really novel addition and is guaranteed to keep you on your toes, throwing the ball out at random angles just when you least expect it!
With so few of these machines being produced we expect it to sell out fast and become highly collectable in years to come, so if you’re interested you’ll need to get that ‘Ticket to Ride’ just as soon as you can!
