The Contropiede is yet another breathtaking design from the renowned Italian manufacturer Teckell, whose designers and craftsmen have excelled themselves once again.
Although superficially similar to their iconic Cristallino table, the Contropiede differs in the style of the legs, which can be specified in solid white, black or walnut. Featuring once again are the stunning 15mm thick clear crystal body and playfield, and the minimalist style sculpted players, which on this table are cast from aluminium. The end result is a stunningly beautiful piece, impeccably crafted using the very latest technology and the skilled hands of Italian artisans.
Despite appearances these glass tables are incredibly strong, and because the glass surface is so hard it's far more resistant to scratching and staining than that of wooden bodied tables.
The abacus style scorers are chrome plated and the table has a built in levelling system to ensure a consistently level playing field. The handles are solid wood and are generally supplied in the same colour as that chosen for the legs. Similarly, the players can be specified as white versus chrome or black versus chrome, and if you're something of a traditionalist you can dispense with the clear crystal playfield, replacing it with a tinted green one at no extra cost.
With its sleek design and uncompromising modern aesthetic, the Teckell Contropiede will look fabulous in any contemporary setting.
Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, was a keen player of table football. Years of practice made him into a formidable player. The mastery of his aggressive, co-ordinated attacks and the lightning-fast reactions of his defence combined to make him legendary in the Waldersmith household, where he quickly became reigning champion. However, opponents occasionally noted this might be because he was always somewhat vague on the controversial ‘no spinning’ rule.
We’ve been selling tables since 1962, so know a thing or two about our products! Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.
