The Tornado is the quintessentially American take on this legendary game. Precise engineering and subtle gameplay features combine to make a quality table that explicitly facilitates skilful, exciting play.
The Tornado’s cabinet, coated in brushed aluminium laminate, contains a full-size playfield holding 26 players. The playfield itself is painted with clear positioning markers on the attack, midfield and goal positions, providing helpful visual aid. Patented 3-piece bearings work in conjunction with centreless telescopic rods, which are hollowed for a lighter weight and greater mobility, and feature expertly crafted friction grip handles.
The players themselves are thirteen to a team, each one having a three-man goalkeeper. They are sturdy and substantial constructions, specifically counterbalanced for smoother play. They are shaped with edged, blocky feet, allowing for superior ball-control when passing and more power when shooting. Thin-wall bearings allow for further control along the edges of the table, allowing for a greater flexibility of play that isn’t always present in other tables.
Each table comes with the Tornado assurance of approval, represented by the colourful logo placard stamped on the aluminium laminate. The manufacturer, Valley Dynamo, is an umbrella company comprising of the most recognisable brands in US gaming. The combined talents of their expert craftsmen bring you an innovative table with a truly American spirit; one that concerns itself first and foremost with the quality of the game.
Every facet of the Tornado emphasises a fast, powerful style of play. It is universally recognised as an excellent table for enthusiasts or professionals; accolades which have made it the official table for all qualified table football tournaments.
Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, was a keen player of table football. Years of practice made him into a formidable player. The mastery of his aggressive, co-ordinated attacks and the lightning-fast reactions of his defence combined to make him legendary in the Waldersmith household, where he quickly became reigning champion. However, opponents occasionally noted this might be because he was always somewhat vague on the controversial ‘no spinning’ rule.
We’ve been selling tables since 1962, so know a thing or two about our products! Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.
