Manufactured between 1958 and 1959, the increasingly rare Cavalier 72 was most often used to vend bottles of Coca Cola and typically came with the corresponding red and white livery . This Dr Pepper branded machine, which has been throughly refurbished inside and out at our own workshops, is therefore rarer still.  The addition of a modern refrigeration unit which runs on a UK power supply means that you can chill up to 72 bottles to perfection, and of course we've replaced all the wires, motors and fans to ensure total reliability in the years to come. The subtle green livery stands in stark contrast to the pillar box red of the Coca Cola model whilst the embossed, hand painted Dr Pepper logo on the front panel gives the machine a really distinctive look. 

Vibrant, solid and reliable, one of the major attractions of this cool machine lies in its versatility. Bottles of beer, a variety of fizzy drinks and even quarter bottles of champagne can be chilled in its refrigerated interior. The machine vends on original dimes, which are supplied by us and as you'd expect, the coin mechanism has also been stripped down and rebuilt as part of the restoration process. With the Cavalier 72 you can own a genuine slice of American history and feel just like The Fonz every time you use it!

Our skilled engineers go as far as they possibly can to bring these machines back to how they were when they left the factory, building on the high standards that were first set in the 1950s. The cabinet is shot-blasted back to bare metal and its liveries are repainted by an experienced classic car sprayer, using automotive quality paint. The shelves are re-anodised and the chrome parts are sent to London chromers. Quality is integral to the history and value of these vintage  machines, and no one understands that better than us at the Games Room Company.

Our history with these machines stretches back over half a century – our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, was installing them on US Air Force bases back in the 1950s, not long after their manufacture. Being a relatively new invention at the time put the Coke Machines in unrivalled demand, and Reginald himself was known to occasionally share a drink with the GIs. We’ve been selling these machines since 1962, so know a thing or two about our products!
