We recently acquired this fabulous Pepsi Cola sign in the USA, where it originally saw service advertising one of the world's most popular soft drinks.
Pepsi was first introduced as "Brad's Drink" in 1893 by Caleb Bradham, who made it at his drugstore where the drink was sold. It was renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898, combining the root of the word 'dyspepsia' and the 'kola' nuts used.
Most of our vintage metal signs have seen plenty of action over the years and this one's no exception, with a host of scratches and dinks that bear witness to its age and character, much like many of us!
The Pespi Cola lettering is embossed to a thickness of about 3mm giving the piece a lovely, authentic 3D feel and the outer lozenge is similarly raised.
At 68cm wide this classic piece of Americana is wide enough to make a big impression but sufficienty compact to fit in most areas, and would really add the finishing touch to a vintage or retro styled kitchen.
