Few companies can boast the rich heritage of NSM Music, a highly respected German manufacturer now well into its seventh decade. NSM continues to exceed the expectations of its founding members Nack, Schulze and Menke, who created the company to produce American style jukeboxes in the 1950s. It is now the largest jukebox manufacturer in the world.
The City II, which was in production between 1984 and 1987, was one of their most popular models and had a capacity of 80 45rpm records, providing 160 selections. NSM gained an enviable reputation for combining aesthetics with technology and in this model they come together beautifully. The low profile cabinet with its expansive glass ‘window’ allows everyone to see into the innermost workings, hypnotising children and adults alike.
This example has been immaculately restored by the experts at our own workshop and is of course in perfect working order, having been stripped down, cleaned and thoroughly refurbished. As part of this process the moving parts have been through a cleansing sonic bath and the machinery has undergone an electro-mechanical overhaul. The lighting has been enhanced to brighten up the interior so one could arguably say that she looks better now than the day she left the factory!
Music itself is an important part of our business, as evidenced by our treasured library of ’45s. We are able to assist you in sourcing your favourite records or if you’re a bit stuck for choice, we are only too happy to make recommendations!
