The Mills Extra Bell ‘Aitkens Front’ is considered by many to be one of the loveliest looking slot machines ever created.
It was originally designed by Everet B. Eckland, who used a 1930’s Mills mechanism and added a new casting for this classic 1946 version. Mills Novelty Company of Chicago was one of the best known producers of slot machines and the ‘Aitkens Front’, released just after WWII, was one of their finest creations. Sitting on an oak plinth and featuring blue metal with stunning chrome detailing, this machine takes Quarters and has been fully restored by our workshops inside and out. All in all, she’s a real gem.
Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, was far from an avid gambler, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the industry. He specialised in ‘one armed bandits’, and they were an essential part of the business that eventually became the Games Room Company. After servicing slot machines and jukeboxes on American airbases after the war, the resultant friendships Reginald made in the US armed forces allowed him to begin shipping them to the UK, and begin trading as the Games Room Company.
We’ve been selling games tables since 1962, so we know a thing or two about our products! Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.
