The Pembridge is a masterpiece of a table, originally made to order for a private owner in London. Using fine-quality materials, the Pembridge is handmade in England. The body of the table is made from solid wood, as are the three table leaves, which have been constructed especially for the Pembridge. Without these leaves, the Pembridge functions flawlessly as an 8ft American pool table. With them, it can seamlessly transform into a diner and, with a few adjustments, a ping-pong table. The leaves themselves have been made by a professional joiner and are precisely engineered to meet cleanly, avoiding any adverse effects on the play of the ball.
The table features a mechanism, designed by Alexander Waldersmith, whereby the leaves can be neatly stored on the underside of the table when not in use. Similarly compact facilities are located at either end of the table in the form of catch drawers, which store pool balls, triangles, tennis bats and the tennis net.
As well as its supreme functionality, a steel sub-frame has been fitted to streamline and improve the aesthetics of the table, while carved wooden legs complemented the black lacquer finish to exude a peerless elegance. Its increasing popularity is not limited to only table tennis players – the Pembridge is now proudly taking its place as one of our premier bespoke products.
Table tennis was a family favourite in the Waldersmith household. Our founder Reginald Waldersmith would routinely challenge his sons to games, in order to get some practice in for the occasional product demonstration in the showroom. We’ve been selling tables since 1962, so know a thing or two about our products! Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.
