This elegant table incorporates a postmodern look into the traditional game – its pioneering design consists of a curved steel resin augmented with a ribbon effect silhouette. Its remarkable shape is unique among table games, with a style that can comfortably qualify the Blacklight as a true work of art. This futuristic redesign of the traditional snooker table uses steel and resin as its primary materials, with integrated ¾” Italian slate and luxuriant leather-finished pockets.
A vast number of customisation options and other extras are available for the Blacklight table. 27 different lacquered or matte finishes are available for its cabinet, including brushed stainless steel, copper, chrome, leather, pearly white or even luxury gold. The optional extras are equally extravagant, including integrated lighting, a matching pendant light, and a dining tabletop to transform your games room centrepiece into a magnificent dining table.
Far more than a table, the Blacklight is an icon; a historic game from one of the most significant portions of British history. Eight finely crafted tapered legs hold the table at a regulation height from the ground, making the Blacklight suitable for tournament-standard playing. With a ¾” slate playing surface and the finest Simonis cloth, the superb postmodern aesthetics of this remarkable table make it an awe-inspiring purchase for professionals and beginners alike.
Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, first learned to play snooker in Cairo, serving with the 8th Army during the Second World War. He was fond of confusing opponents by telling them they were ‘absolute snookers’, explaining that the term originally referred to an inexperienced army recruit, before it was applied to the game. This intriguing titbit was repeated so often that many of his colleagues eventually memorised his explanation word-for-word. We’ve been selling games tables since 1962, so we know a thing or two about our products! Our showroom will gladly assist you on any questions you may have before or after you purchase any Games Room Company equipment.
